I want a best friend.
Not a bunch of close friends I may often times call my best friend. A real, genuine best friend. Someone who will never leave me. Someone who is going to be there forever, really…. forever. When I say someone is my best friend, I don’t just mean for now. I mean I want that person to be a part of my forever life. I want to trust them, to tell them things I’ve never told any other person. I want a best friend who won’t ditch me during my depressed stages… get mad when I tell them the truth they don’t want to hear, but no one else will tell them, someone I can take seriously but also have the best times of my life with, someone who can go to the bar/club and get drunk with me, but someone who is also just as content with staying in with a carton of Ben & Jerry’s, sweat pants, and just us two. Someone who can tell me things and be honest with me, but will also listen when I in turn, need them. I want someone who doesn’t call everyone their best friend… someone who won’t ditch me once ‘someone better’ comes along.. because they don’t think there is anyone better than me, anyone better that can mold with them as their best friend. Someone who will be my maid of honor in my wedding, who will be the God mother to my children, be a part of my adult life just as much as my right now life. But mostly, I just want to feel that my friend cares about me as much as I care about them.
